Major Features of the Ordinance

Information to be included in the Notification for UDOC Facilities

Facilities produced in a particular year certain UDOCs exceeding the reporting thresholds (Note) are required to notify to the Director-General of Trade and Industry ("the Director") the following information on activities over that particular year :

  • the name of the facility, and the name of the owner, company or enterprises operating it and its precise location;

  • details of its main activities;

  • the number of plants at the facility producing UDOCs;

  • production quantity during the previous calendar year of each UDOC.

Note: Notification is required if production of UDOCs at a facility in the previous calendar year exceeded 200 tonnes ; or if production of a particular UDOC which contained one or more of the elements phosphorus, sulphur or fluorine exceeded 30 tonnes in the previous calendar year. Facilities that produced during the year only hydrocarbons and explosives are not subject to the notification requirement.
